Location: Bogota, Colombia
Weather: Cloudy
Mood: Astonishingly amused....

I have to do this assignment for uni which involves finding companies that design children’s clothes. I don’t know if I told you my bf’s sister is pregnant with her second child and I kind of drifted off the subject for a bit looking at the most adorable “welcome to the world” baby shower gifts that I could get her and the whole search put me in a really sweet, adorable mood. I’m also pretty amused by the news today, just in general. Our country has got some serious issues but it’s all a little funny to me, how people are seriously deranged. Anyway, my whole “I’m feeling so sweet today” mood landed me in my Hollister skinny jeans - which aren’t so skinny anymore since I’ve been going to the gym quite a lot, now they look like baggy jeans… still, never mind… - an old white T (no plans of leaving the house for now) and my silver ballet flats which my mum brought for me from Argentina years ago… I’m also wearing my yogurt-colored sweater and a purple scarf, mainly ‘cos I decided to play dermatologist on my neck and it’s looking pretty nasty. Not that you needed to know that… moving on, I’m also hoping to take out my Juicy Couture tote – actually I’ve been waiting and waiting on these packages from Amazon for weeks, stuff for my new car, like the cutest emergency kit and the vase and flower that originally come with the car but weren’t there when I bought it (but that’s what the internet is for, right?) and they still haven’t arrived. Maybe I’ll just give them (another) quick call… Hold on… HA! They’re hereee!!!!! OMG gotta run, and if I’m really lucky, I’m also going to the cinema tonight! Fingers crossed!!! –Rx.

Location: Bogota, Colombia
Weather: Cloudy, then sunny, then cloudy, then sunny, now... Cloudy
Mood: Nervous

I have no idea what I'm so nervous about. It's going to be fine. This is ridiculous. So my car needs some maintenance, it's only normal; I mean it's a 10 year old car!! I'm being ridiculous! Still, I feel they're about to say something horrible, which is totally not true. So stop it. In any case I feel a bit defensive so I'm wearing all black like a crow. It makes me feel stronger somehow. Ok not ALL black, my jeans are blue. But still. The black leather jacket and the black boots suggest I own a Harley and not a baby blue New Beetle... Oh God I'm going to be sick... Rx.

PS. As far as the weekend goes, I had a bit of a crisis with my blog, mainly cos I was absorbed by laziness... But just a quick summary:
Saturday: Pink tee and pink Converse - day at the shop with the car
Sunday: White peasant tee and brown knee high boots - day at the countryside for lunch
Monday: Holiday - slept in most of the day, then put on a really cute gray and pink dress and black boots and went out for lunner (lunch/dinner) ;)

June 24, 2011

Location: Bogota, Colombia
Weather: Rainy, damn it!!! STOP RAINING!!!! I JUST WASHED MY CAR!!
Mood: IT'S FRIDAY!!!

Honestly, how am I supposed to do my regular Friday stuff in the rain? Specially when I have a new car which I totally don't want sitting out in the blistering rain! It should be clear skies up ahead. Anyway, it's still Friday, I guess, and I have my car so... I totally had to look cute today 'cos I have a new car!!!! (sorry) So, after rummanging through my wardrobe for ever this morning, and then changing a couple hundred times during the day, I've finally settled for my smartest, most wonderful jeans from Zara, white T (don't ask about the pic) and my new, totally fab pink blazer which I had totally forgotten I had! I trully believe this would look OH SOOO MUCH BETTER with my pink suede LK Bennets, but, key words in today's entry, RAIN and SUEDE, two words that DO NOT go in the same sentence. So I've resigned to my black knee high boots (sinthetic suede, it's different) and it doesn't look as pro, but whatever. It's cute enough! You know what I need? I need a new watch... Maybe I still have time to hit the shops before the evening starts... I mean I just need something light and waterproof that DOESN'T tic tic tic me crazy in the middle of the night.... Any ideas? -Rx.

June 23, 2011

Location: Bogota, Colombia
Weather: Cloudy, bummer
Mood: If I were happier I'd explode!

Today is without doubt one of the happiest days of my entire life. I can't believe my beautiful sky blue New Beetle is sitting downstairs in my garage. I was so excited I barely got any sleep! It's sooooooooooooo gorgeous! OMG I'm totally going to die of excessive happiness. But I have to keep proportion and not obsess over it... So in other (related) topics, I've got a lot to do today (in my new car!!). For starters I'm going to go out for lunch (no lunch here), take my printer to get fixed at the shop, pick up some packages (the vase and flower of my VW) and then in the evening I'm having supper with a very close friend who I haven't seen in months even though she lives 2 blocks away from my bf and works 5 blockes away from my house. Anyway, I need to look cute for tonight's reunion with my pal, she's very well dressed and picky, so I've gone for my not so black jeggins, white top, pink cashmere sweater and my pink ballet flats. Added my pink Gucci and a pashmina and I totally look the part. Cute yet casual yet totally glam! I love it. Baby, here I come! -Rx.

June 22, 2011

Location: Bogota, Colombia
Weather: Sunny ans bright and beautiful
Mood: Hopeful

Everything this week's gone totally wrong... Everything's upside down (hence  the picture)... It's just so confusing... However...

OMG. Just a few more hours and I'll have my car! I'm way too excited. I need to sit down. Ok, so here's the deal: I haven't blogged because I literally have had no time... not even to eat lunch. RIght now it's cooking as we speak, but before... Anyway, I needed to look nice today, grwon up and propper 'cos I was going to get all the paperwork dome for my car, but as usual, I wasn't about to overdo it, so I popped on a pair of smart jeans with my plain white tee ;) (wink, wink) and i smartened it up with accesories ans heels. Bravo, Rito, bravo! God it was totally worth it. I was even called, Mrs., which I wasn't sure if I was fond of, but whatever. Point it, my wardrobe's saved the day once more! Now, gotta check on my lunch before I burn the house down (yes, almost like the 3 little pigs... but not quite). -Rx.

June 21, 2011

Location: Bogota, Colombia
Weather: dunno, don't care
Mood: Down in the dumps...

This week's gone totally wrong. It was supposed to be one of the happiest weeks of my life, mainly because I was supposed to pick up my new car this morning and by now I should be sitting in it, driving around town feeling completely glam and fab and.... well I'm not. I had to get a stupid migraine today of which I am only now recovering and so I couldn't pick up my car and because of stupid local traffic regulations that means I have to wait 'till Thursday and it sucks BIG TIME... I mean I know it's not thaaaat big a deal, it's not like I'm never gonna have it, I've just waited so long and I was so excited... Anyway, I'm in a really low mood and tonight I'm babysitting my bf's niece so I popped on jeans and a tee and my new pink converse to cheer me up a bit. I'm not too worries what I look like really, I just feel like taco bell and a good movie....Let's just hope tomorrow is a better day...Rx.

PS. just for the record and the purpose of this investigation, I wore trackies and an oversized jumper yesterday 'cos I'm full of mosquito bites and anything remotely tighter would have driven me up the walls... Didn’t blog 'cos I couldn't sit still thinking I was getting my car today... :(

Location: Santa Marta, Colombia
Weather: Sunny
Mood: Happy

I have 3 very good reasons to be happy today:

1. IT'S FATHER'S DAY AND I LOVE MY DADDY

2. I'M GOING TO SEE MY BF THIS EVENING

3. I GET MY NEW CAR IN LESS THAN 48 HOURS!!!

I'm wearing my cutest flower dress which I bought in London (obviously, flowers, very British) and my flowery sandal's which my bf bought for me when he visited me, also in London (hence the flowers!) And I look totally cute!!! Better start celebrating! HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!! - Rx.

Location: Bogota, Colombia
Weather: Sunny
Mood:

What a beautiful Saturday. It's been all sunny and beautiful al day although it's rained in the afternoon the last couple of days, and fortunately not yet today. I had planned to spend most of my morning at the pool, just sunbathing and reading my book, but things don't always work out like you plan them, do they? What really happened is that I had to come back to the office to finishe some work before I can take the rest of the weekend of, but dad had to have a one-to-one with his secretary about something so I went and had a mani pedi while I waited. Btw, I got a frenchie 'cos I want to totally play the part when I drive my beautiful new car for the first time. Anyway, I'm done now and I'm heading back home to have lunch. Then in the afternoon (oh God I can't wait) I'm off shopping with mum and one of hey best gay friends (gay as in extreeeeeemly happy, not as in queer) 'cos I have to buy wrapping paper for dad's gifts (for father's day tomorrow) and put together a nice menu 'cos I'm cooking tomorrow - although what I think I'll do is just try and re-do my bf's gorgeous mustard and artichoke sauce with pasta, although it's my first time on my own so I might intoxicate my parent's, but hey, it's the thought that counts, right? Anyway, I'm in my laid back summer Saturday outfit with my striped shorts and a plain white slouch tee. Obviously my Coach swingpack is my number 1 accesory although I'm wearing the cutest sandals that my mum bought for me a couple of months ago all adorned with colorful rocks on the strap. Just kind of a laid back, relaxed yet chic look for a laid back gal like me. Oh God is that the time? No wonder I'm starved! I better call me dad so he can pick me up... No way I'm getting in a grubby cab in this heat! -Rx.

June 17, 2011

Location: Santa Marta, Colombia, sitting by the window on the 8th floor of the tallest blue building in the whole city, looking out into space (or the sea, whatever) and wondering what would happen if I free-fell from here into the sea... (not in a suicidal way, just in a movie, super diver way...)
Weather: Sunny and hot I expect, but in here it's cool and nice
Mood: totally distracted from reality............................................

The sea is blue. The sea should be blue. Not here though. I was just thinking, I have such a wide, wonderful view of the sea from where I’m sitting, it should be blue, not... grey. It's an icky oily blue, grey color and I can see ugly rooftops and a few cars and dogs and people, but I should be seeing the bright blue sea, like in Aruba, and white sandy beaches and beautiful people with umbrella cocktails. Anyway, I'm not. I'm in a really weird mood today, almost like I don’t belong. I feel uncomfortable with myself in a weird, out of my body way. I don't know what's wrong really. Everything in my life is fine, I should be over the roof that I get my new car on Tuesday, I'll be home Sunday night, I'm doing great at uni... and somehow I just feel weird. SO weird in fact that without thinking I pulled on a pair of black shorts, black tank top and sandals. In the office it's a bit chilly so I'm wearing my dad's brand new company shirt which was delivered today and is obviously too big on me (it goes down past my knees.) You know, I love that my dad is so big next to me. If anyone ever made a movie about me, (you never know, they might - how was Gabrielle Bonheur to know 38 years after her death they would make a movie about her younger years, before she became Coco Chanel (hence the title of the movie Coco Avant Chanel.) So, back to subject, if anyone did do a movie about me, I would probably be played by Blake Lively or Piper Perabo and my dad would definitely have to be John Goodman. He is the cutest, most adorable movie dad in the world. Anyway, my dad's shirt is too big on me but he doesn't mind me wearing it and it makes me feel happier and a little safe, somehow.... -Rx.

June 16, 2011

Location: Santa Marta, Colombia
Weather: SUPER sunny
Mood: mah, I don't feel too good... :(

You know what I'm really, REALLY alergic to? Air conditioning! I mean it's great, right, 'cos I don't melt to death, but it gets all my alergies going so I can't breath properly and I feel icky and horrible... So in order not to freeze to death and catch pneumonia, I'm wearing my white linen pants and a full v-neck tee. I know I've contantly complained about the heat but in the office it's really cold so trousers are alright. BEsides, linen is extreemly fresh and good for the heat (and for keeping away horrible mosquitos away from my legs - I'm starting to look like a corn knob.) Anyway, linen was used by ancient Egyptian to keep cool and protected from the sun, and trust me was it hot in Egypt, so if they could survive, so can I. Although they didn't quite survive did they, in the end? But they were around for long enough, so I'll be fine. Anyway, I'm by the sea so I thought I would give my outfit a bit of a sailor turn by wearing my stiped tee from Old Navy and my blue sandals. Finally, my local handbag to add a bit of culture and couture. And it's just right. Now, I better get back to studying c'os I want to get everything done before the weekend. Turuloo -Rx.

June 15, 2011

Location: Santa Marta, Colombia
Weather: reaaally sunny until 2 hours ago
Mood: Annoyed

You cannot even begin to imagine how hot it was today. 42°C is WAAAY over the top of my heat limit. I swear I thought I might melt. And still the cable people have done nothing so I spent most of my day lying still in case I did begin to melt, I did it all in one place so I could put myself backtogether and not risk losing any bits and pieces along the way, and after lunch I hit the pool for about an hour. I went back upstairs just in time because on our way to the office with dad the most tremendous thunder storm starting coming douwn over us and I felt a bit like in  the movie TOrnado! (Ok, maybe not in the movie considering I haven't actually seen it, but the Universal Studios ride is close enough - actually, it's even more upcloase and personal because you can actually live it where as the movie you can't and it's with that woman from As Good as it Gets which I can't stand . what's her face... Helen Hunt) Anyway, I'm derailing a bit, point is it was way to hot for clothes but we live in a society where clothes indeed are a social requierment to i popped on a nice hot pink cami-dress I bought in Zara and to go out Forever 21 sandals and leggings (which I then took off in the car again because it's way too hot for leggings, even cropped ones) and it was sooo much better. I never thought I'd say this, but I want to go back to the cold weather where you can dress up warmer if you're cold. Here I can't dress down any further! Rito go home...-Rx.

Location: Santa Marta, Colombia
Weather: Supper sunny at day, very clear night
Mood: Chillaxed

God do I love my life... It all passed as a blissful blur, and right now I feel greatful that it did. My dad had an important meating early this morning and the cable guy was coming over to put in the new phone line so he left me at home to supervise. Therefore I didn't do much apart from take a shower and put on a bikini and the most adorable yellow sundress I bought in Orlando (which still had the price tag: $6.50 - HA!) and i stayed lying all morning in my parent's bed watching crap TV and munching breadrolls. Then in the afternoon I headed down to the pool where i sat and read 'till it got dark and then I went upstairs and had another shower (you cannot imagine how hot it is here in the summer) and now I'm headed off to dinner with dad. I'm wearing the most adorable striped dress with bright red sandals, which are a bit smart but hey, if I don't wear them then why did I buy them, right? Anywho, I'm off to dinner, dad's nagging that I'm taking too long! TTYL -Rx.

Location: Bogota, Colombia
Weather: Sunny
Mood: Sad… a Little
So remember how I told you I was selling my car? Well I did and that’s great ‘cos now I can buy a new one but still… It wasn’t easy just letting go, I mean I have a lot of fond memories with that car and yes it was old and ugly and I’m buying a much prettier one but still… It’s sad really…
Anyway, apart from that, I’m off to the beach in a couple of hours. Ok, not to the beach but to my beach house, to work, and no, I won’t be going to the beach or to the pool because everyone’s on holiday and I don’t like pools full of people. But still, it’s sand and warm weather right? Any excuse to wear shorts is a good one!!

June 10, 2011

Location: Bogota, Colombia

Weather: Cloudy but might actually get sunnier later
Mood: Nervous

I'm in serious need of caffeine and maybe some sugar...mmm doughnuts... Focus. Sorry, I have quite a big day ahead of me today; I'm showing my car to (so far) two potential buyers today and I'm not really that great speaking to large audiences, or small ones, or anyone I don't know. I go bright red and forget what I was going to say. I'm what you would call a serious case of a stage fright sufferer - but, I have to overcome my fears and sell the car. I mean I study merchandising for crying out loud, right? I can do this... I. CAN. DO.THIS. Oh God I can't do this! Stop it. Of course I can. I'm a big, confident woman... Great, now I sound like Chandler's "quit smoking tape..." Still, never mind. It'll be fiiine. For extra confidence I'm wearing pink (remember how I once told you pink boosted my confidence? Let's just hope it works its magic today too!) Under my oversized pink tee, however, I have chosen to wear (very unusual of me) an orange tank top. The color combination goes great and "I think it gives it a little something extra, don't you think?" (I bet no one can tell me which movie that phrase came from!) Aaaanyway, pair of jeans and my b-e-a-u-tiful (another movie quote) pair of L.K. Bennett pink suede pumps to a) look older b) look taller c) look chicer d) I love them and never wear them...Then if we go out tonight for dinner, i can get warm with my brown cardigan and matching handbag and an orange pashmina so if the tank isn't visible anymore, you can still see the color combo! Ok, here goes... wish me luck, I'm going to need it! -Rx.

Location: Bogota, Colombia
Weather: Super Sunny
Mood: Even more excited than yesterday

What a bright, bright, sunshiny daaay! I've taken my sweet time posting today's blog because I had to go out before the weather changed to photograph my car (which I'm selling...) But the stupid battery  on the camera decided to die on me so TG for BBs. Anyway, I'm in a bright mood despite mi slightly gothic outfit, it wasn't supposed to turn out that way when I got dressed this morning but i wanted something bright and peppy! So i was going to wear my red v-neck with jeans but then I thought, oh what the hell, i always wear jeans and then if I go to the gym later all I have to do is change my boots for trainers and pull off my dress and I'm all set... Very smart of me, I know. ;) Anyway, I better have lunch and get reading if I'm going to get all my work done in time for my bf's soccer match this evening! ta-taaa -Rx.

June 8, 2011

Location: Bogota, Colombia
Weather: Cloudy
Mood: Colorful, despite the weather

I'm just really glad I washed my car yesterday. It's not exactly raining, but it is pretty cold and cloudy. Despite that, I'm in a really cute mood, if that makes sense, so I'm wearing my grey Tommy Hilfiger dress with a pink sweater underneath so I don't freeze to death, pink tights and my grey boots. I still have a lot to do today... stuff which include going to the gym and running errands. Still, it's fine, I need to get out of the house from time to time or it might just drive me up the walls. I also need an outfit which is warm as well as confortable 'cos I have to queue for a while so high heels are not a good idea today. Besides, flat boots are really cute and comfy. For now, however, it's left over pizza from last night and a coke and then I'm off to do all I have to do before it rains, because I really, really don't want to get wet. -Rx.

June 7, 2011

Location: Bogota, Colombia
Weather: Sunny
Mood: Excited

Good morning bloggers and please excuse my absence the last few days. If I'm going to be quite honest, I needed a break. Even fashion blogging can be exhausting and get to you sometimes, you know... Point is, I'm back and it's a wonderful, sunny day and I have a lot to do today. Today is one of those days when you realize you’ve grown up and you have to go out and face the world, if you know what I mean. For starters I have to go to the bank to talk business so I can't exactly go wearing an overall and pigtails, they'll think I'm 9 and won't take me seriously. On the other hand, I don't want to look dressed up for the occasion, I don't want them to perceive be as an over doer, which I'm not. So, I've picked out a nice round neck top with blue jeggins and my beige suede boots. Paired it up with my taupe handbag and a beige cardigan and a very subtle touch, a small pearl necklace, you know, just to portray a few more years (I look 12, trust me.) So, wish me luck and let’s hope I can get everything done and wash my car before the weather changes its mind and hides my beautiful sunny day! –Rx.

Sunday Special - The Plain White T

All of you have had a day when you open your wardrobe and no matter how full of endless possibilities it might be, you simply can't find anything to wear. And no matter how color coordinated your wardrobe is and how important it is for you to have it all under specific categories so this doesn't happen (going out clothes, sunday clothes, gym clothes, etc) but it does happen! And it drives you crazy to not like anything of all those clothes you once found so irrisitable to buy but now you're just not in the mood. You know what I mean, right? And the wierd thing is no matter how much you have to chose from you'll aways end up in your safe zone with your favorite pair of old, worn-out jeans and your wardrobe essential, your plain white T. It might happen because all the posibilities confuse us... It might be because the weather doesn't match your mood and your just not ready to go out looking like an eskimo when you woke up feeling California sexy... It might just be because you just don't feel like it, no questions asked, but your plain white T will promise to be there always, combine white anything you pull out of your wardrobe and be your best friend for ever.  Therefore, it is a must have in every wardrobe, men and women, in a variety of shapes and styles to match your every need.

So think of your white tee as a blank canvas: you can dress it up or dress it down accordingly and it doesn't even have to be designer. Any white tee will do the trick! There are several types of white t-shirts to chose from, each with different styles and for different occasions.

The V-Neck:

Combine it with a pair of jeans and trainers and you're ready to go to the supermarket. Wear it with leggings and hit the gym. Pair it up with a skirt and a nice cardigan and you'll look great for an afternoon with your friends or a night at the movies. Wear any accesory you like from a long strand of colorful necklaces to a colorful pashmina to brighten it up a little. On top you can wear a hoodie, a jacket, a vest or a cardi and they'll all allow you to mix and match to endless posibilities.

The Scoop Neck:

If you're looking for a slightly softer look, you might want to go for the scoop neck white tee instead of the v-neck. The too are very fashionable and slightly more dressy than a v-neck- a more chic vs. casual look. However, you might want to be careful if you have very broad sholders because the scoop neck will atract all of the atention to the top of your body while the v-neck gives the effect of a linger, slimer figure.

The Long Sleeve:

Long sleeve white tees are ideal for colder weather. Also, it's a great companion to wear with shorts. You've probably noticed how the cute girl of your fav TV show looks really casual but sexy in shorts and a long sleeve top. That's because it is sexy. And besides, when you get cold you usually rub your arms, not your legs right? When it's chilly you notice it more on your upper body, so if you fell like showing off your tanned, shaved legs you can wear a long sleeve plain white tee that won't draw too much attention to your upper body and a lot of attention to your legs. Besides, there's nothing sexy about arms anyway; totally overrated...

The Polo Neck:

If you'r planning a day at the country club or in the country, an excellent choice is a white polo shirt combined with jeand and knee high boots. You'll soon come to realize the whole polo player outfit is very sexy while making you look smart and dressy. Wear an open, oversized cardigan over it and your hair up for extra "sexy, laid back polo player" effect.

The Asimetric Shaped Tee:

Sometimes it's fun to look a little different without overdoing it and what's funner than an irregular shaped tee? It's true it can be any color but some people don't like to overdo it. Asimetric white t's are great if you want to combine it with a bright colored tank underneath. In that way part of the tank is showing through the transparecy only a white T can offer while another part of the tank can stick out and just shine through. Wear a belt over it for an extra touch of style.

Here are some celebs wearing their fav plain white T to give you some extra ideas of how to mix and match! I hope you've enjoyed reading this and next time you don't know what to wear, don't underestimate your plain white T!

Location: Bogota, Colombia
Weather: Cloudy
Mood: Excited

I love surprises (but HATE surprise parties - when they're for me, I love participating in them for other people-). And today I have a huge surprise planned that no one can even start to imagine! It's so exciting! :D I can now tell you since it will be happening any time this hour: my mum's at lunch with all her old buddies from work (old as in from a long time ago, not that they're old) and she has no idea I popped around this morning and left a cake for her so after lunch they'll sing her happy birthday!!! And she has no clue! It's so exciting! :D Anyway, I hope she finds i as fun as me and doesn't disinherit me or anything... Anyway, tonight I have a really cool plan at my bf’s mate’s house ‘cos he’s decided to start his own garage beer and we’re all invited for a round of beer and yummy food so I’m really looking forward to that. Besides, it’s the perfect occasion to look pretty and dress up a bit, so I’m wearing my new red leather skirt which my mum brought for me from Argentina and that I haven’t actually had a chance to wear, yet, and a black turtleneck sweater and my knee high boots. I’ve even done my nails and everything for the occasion. I’m just one of those people who firmly believe you should dress up every occasion you have. If you don’t, then you might as well just stay at home in your pjs. I mean what’s the point of wearing cute clothes if you’re not going to wear them after? And besides, if you’re a little overdressed is so much better than if you’re a little underdressed. For starters, it makes a huge difference in the way you feel, and besides, it’s not like if you’re going to wear a ball gown to a friend’s BBQ, right? Dressing up makes me feel pretty, and feeling pretty makes me happy. And when I’m happy, all is well in the world. For now, I’ve just had lunch and I’m in serious need of a nap. I can get changed into my beautiful beer-tasting, food-flavoring later… ta-taaa –Rx.

Location: Bogota, Colombia
Weather: ClOuDy
Mood: love your enemies, it pisses them off... hehehe

Excuse the mood, there's just this silly girl that goes to my gym that really pisses me off. She's like the gym's equivalent to teacher's pet and God I hated teacher's pets... Anyway, let's not talk about morons, let's talk macramé. When I think macramé I think the peanut butter of fashion. It can be chunky and quite deceiving, and like marmite, either you love it, or you hate it. For those unfamiliar with the term, macramé is a form of textile that looks like knitting but made purely with knots. Anyway, macramé is hot this month, or at least that’s what’s on Vogue, and dear readers, Vogue is the Bible of fashion. You've probably seen it in bracelets or belts but this spring designers decided to go the extra mile and make beautiful macramé garments. Because it often involves leaving big gaps between weaves, it is often a great companion for beach wear and bikinis. Did you know 19th century sailor’s use to dedicate to do all sorts of macramé objects in their spare time? Pretty neat if you ask me. Anyway, it’s also pretty neat to compliment macramé with sailor-type garments. For example, get yourself a nude macramé skirt and pair it up with a blue and white tank top and a pair of red sandals and you can hit the sails of that cute guy’s yacht. Then will you be honoring the 19th century seamen while looking very chic and sexy – what a fab. combination. If you want more ideas on ways to combine macramé (in case, like me, you live in a very cold climate) check out designer’s collections such as Dior and Gucci 2011. Jen Kao,  and Malandrino are also great designers with beautiful macramé proposals. Today I’m going to combine my own touch of macramé with a brown artisanal belt I bought in San Francisco (really cute) and a new purple cardigan I bought in Zara the other day and YES! my purple $5 dollar flats! The cardi’s really cute ‘cos it’s got small, brown, elbow patches that match my belt and give it a very distinct look. You know what? I use to hate purple, but right now, I really love it! I wonder if I’ll ever feel that way about orange? … NAAAAH!!! –Rx.

PS: Btw, you've all probaly once had a (or a few) macramé bracelet(s)... Yes you have... You've even made one yourself. Remember how you used to ask your mum to buy you threads to make bracelets for all your friends? That's macramé!!!
